The Dakota Woodturners sponsor a Hands-on Woodturning Symposium each year in April. The symposium consists of a Friday evening introduction of the guest demonstrators followed by two hands-on sessions on Saturday and one on Sunday morning. In each session the demonstrator develops a project, stopping along the way to provide individual instruction to the participants. By the end of each session the participant will have a learned all of the procedures necessary to complete the demonstration project and hopefully a number of new turning techniques.
With the 2012 DWT Hands-On Symposium in the books plans are starting for the 2013 Symposium. Any suggestions on demonstrators and projects you would like to see are welcome. Please contact a member of the Board of Directors with your suggestions.
